Day 3

Taroko Swallow Grotto Trail ->Taroko Shakadang Hiking Trail->Chingshui Cliff & Gravel Beach at Heren -> the most dangerous highway in Taiwan to Suao->Spider Surfer's Club as accommodation

I admitted that I spent a time soaking my feet in crystal blue Shakadang River. It became darker when I arrived at Chingshui Cliffs. And I had to admit I almost would have jumped into the sea if I had had my swimming suit on. However, I don’t bright any swimming equipment with me (Secretly stuck it into my packages next time, I swear). Plus, the monsoon brought strong winds, making fierce and frightening waves. Thirdly, I had to drive through the most dangerous highway in Taiwan, SuHua Highway built on steep cliffs (YES! Literally, cars were drove on the range of cliffs.)

我承認，花太多時間在泡腳上；我也承認，我超想跳進海裡去；我更承認，即使天色越來越昏暗前面還有大怪獸蘇花等我，我還是無法錯過清水斷崖！

I couldn’t leave the Chingshui Cliffs behind! As I drove through 崇德 tunnel and stopped by recreation spot right beside the road, I found there was a BEACH facing magnificent Pacific Ocean and also a excellent site to marvel one of eight wonders in Taiwan—The Chingshui Cliffs.

According to introducing board, it took millions to form this Cliffs from the bottom of ocean to sediment to chemical change to geological fault which I was stunned at. Quickly going down the short path, I embraced the Pacific Ocean finally!

Fascinating! It is so wonderful that I almost moved to tears. All I want to do is appreciate blue ocean, listen to the sound of waves, smell salty wind and empty my mind. My touching was beyond description. Let me along with it.

聽解釋牌說道聽途說，清水斷崖原本是海裡來的砂…. …沈積久久久變質成大理石，然後板塊運動，不動則矣，一動驚人阿～衝上天去，變成今天的嚇死人雄偉壯麗的清水斷崖，站在底端朝上看，驚心動魄可形容矣。

  

Walking down trail, cute pavilion, magnificent cliffs and blue Pacific Ocean greeted y. 

  

I didn’t know why I started to murmur to these layers of blue wonder about my life, my worries, my happiness, my questions, etc. It seemed ocean could understand me, softy wind comforted me and even the waves could answer my questions. Suddenly, all negatives went away. Only peace accompanied with me. Maybe I took some expectation, stress, and disappointment in my life on me without conscious. I felt extremely peaceful until I looked at blue ocean. It was the ocean that cured and saved me ultimately. I yelled with grateful heart—Thank you so much! Please, promise me to be clearly blue all the time!! I always believe when you talk to the nature, they will answer your wishes. For example, christens will pray to the sky or the sculpture of Jesus (made of stone or something else). No offensive, by the way.  But you can try to scream out your hope to ocean at inhabitant beach like “I want to be a rich” or “Meet Venus (for male) or Mr. Right(for female).” It was really fun to guess what people will cry out when they are in remote mountains or deserted beach.

可能，生前是美人魚、海龍王、蝦兵蟹將、美麗珊瑚、小丑魚或是海裡的一塊小石頭之類的，我，願意超愛海洋。常為了看海壓，騎了機車就衝去海邊勒(PS 當初可是在台北公館唸書，衝到宜蘭蘇澳看海哩，此偉功不可沒不可雙刪線，得意的呢) 這片海灘，簡直是極品阿！寬闊無垠的礫灘飽飽滿滿的容納了180度的太平洋，深藍藍綠到淺藍到浪花白，加上撲面海風，我都快掬把淚向太平洋說好久不見呢，你好嘛？

  

 

After meditation, I stroll on sandy beach with some belts of rocks. A little bit hard to walk. No wonder athletes train themselves on the beach. The wind was so strong enough to stir waves crashing on rocks and cliffs, forming spectacular sceneries. The Chingshui Cliffs were so precipitous that one honored the power of the nature. Unbelievable! But it is real right in front of me.

一陣子的沈思後，開始漫步在海灘上，亂想各種不同的人會在海灘亂喊什麼？宅男或許會說正妹？還是武功密輯破關密輯？宅女喊大帥哥大金主給我一台不會當的電腦？小朋友＆上班族會喊天天星期天？你會喊什麼呢？我相信，大海會幫我們實現並撫慰在現實受挫的心靈，對我，屢試不爽呵呵(樂觀白癡的LUCY也是有煩惱的好嘛～)看著大浪衝擊峭壁巨岩的我，更堅信大海的力量。
