“Good morning, what is your plan today?” asked by servant of Amigo.
“A hiking trail overlooking entire Hualien City, called Meilunshan Park,” I answered.
“If you just want to appreciate Hualien City, you should try Tso Tasng Trail, not that park.” She suggested sincerely.
“Really? How can I get there?”
BRABRA… …..
Whether I should follow the proposal from friendly locals or take advice from Lonely Planet? Well, locals live in Hualien… ….Head for Tso Tasng!
一聽到我要去爬美崙山的理由—看花蓮市全景與太平洋，LP說的。當家花蓮人馬上說：去左傖才是王道！美崙是小菜一盤拉。在我的心靈擂臺賽，當地人瞬間壓倒外國選手，贏得意外的勝利阿～～～當然開車直直給他去囉～～
昨晚睡在AMIGO的柔軟床上，瞬間入眠…ß這一切都是我的幻想，天曉得蚊子攻勢外加燠熱的天氣，還有考完試的興奮外加和外國朋友聊天收穫滿滿的喜悅，整個晚上反而醒醒睡睡，一直想開冷氣卻怕影響其他人，大家都睡了怎麼討論要不要開冷氣？這就是團體，聰明點，下次住背包客棧，先討論再入睡。無論如何，讓興奮撐住自己，爬山去！
In entrance, the signboard told this hiking trail once was used for digging mines. However, those precious mines was exhausted so the mining company retreated from the hills. What a wonderful news for bird-lovers, animal-lovers, hiking-lovers, adventurers, etc. It is an excellent spot to overlooking Hualien City embracing by magnificent the Pacific Ocean and home to Formosa Monkey, Deer, Crested Serpent Eagle(Spilornis Cheela), other wild animal. If you are lucky enough to encounter them, maybe you can buy lottery.
入口處，簡單說明此步道原是台泥晶山礦區的產業道路，山可能兩手一攤說他沒礦了，五億年後請早，於是將寶山讓給花蓮人愛鳥人愛動物的朋友還有愛山人士，遠眺東太平洋及花蓮市全景，還有如果你夠幸運的話，台灣彌猴、水鹿（？）、蛇、大冠鷲等等意外的出現在你眼前！
If I have to rank the difficulty of Tso Tsang Trail from 10(difficult) to 1(easy), 6 score, I think, will be my answer. Long to 3950 meters with altitude of 495 meters, Tso Tsang Trail is quite steep. However, after hiking through steep trail, hikers can usually take a rest on flat one. Plus, in Taiwan, an observatory platform means worthwhile sceneries. There are five dotted on the Trail. What’s more, a resting room set on the third observatory platform is clean and a great facility for hikers.
向上爬向上爬… …好陡喔～～～一邊喘一邊遠眺遠山翠綠宏偉，人是很渺小的，當你見過何謂”衝天高”。左傖步道總長3950公尺，高度落差495公尺，如果有登山經驗的朋友，或許就有概念：這是一條挺陡的步道，好在一段艱辛上坡後有段緩坡給人喘口氣，沿路上共有五做觀景台，也就是風景好到可以有五座休息點讓你欣賞呢，而且貼心的還有乾淨的化妝室在第三休息點，是條好步道呢！（拍肩）
During my hiking, what impressed me a lot were various butterflies. They flew through blue sky, flowers, grounds, grass and, my favorite one, around me. Some were black one carrying crystal blue dots, mysterious purple lines, pure white dots, or reddish red dots. Some were white painting in brown patterns. They suddenly showed up, making this hiking full of surprising. I stared at these awesome creatures with happiness, appreciating their elegance and beauty for whiles. I did love them!
邊走邊觀察這座寶山，帶給我最多驚喜的是蝴蝶。翩翩如仙女一般飛舞在天際、陸地上、草叢間或是花朵旁，各種姿態繽紛色彩，鼓勵了我向前繼續探尋… …是黑色羽蝶帶深藍斑點，或是神秘紫光、純白、燦爛熱紅；有時是白底畫咖啡色個性圖騰，有時是雙飛的白色夫妻，每次遇見每次開心。
Along the path, rich species of trees thrived in dense forest. Among them,…. cought my eyes. Like a pen standing out from green world, they formed series interesting sceneries. With brown circles on the trunk, ..trees seemed like piles of black-circled glasses. It was quite fun to discover cute flowers or sky-reaching trees like game of searching treasure. The following are my treasures. Share them with you~~
如果健行客仔細觀察，路邊的蔭綠樹木群是相當有意思的～尤其是筆筒樹！一根根突出於一片綠海中，目光很自然注意到筆筒樹奇妙樹幹刻畫著連環咖啡圓圈（咖啡麵包？），或許他們是大自然界的抽象畫家八，靜靜凝望，一股微笑的衝動，我想到黑框膠眼鏡堆疊起來，也能成為一顆筆筒樹哩，神奇的大自然呵～～
Although the weather is affected by sand storms from monsoon, I still got sunlight shining this ocean city. Closing my eyes, I can imagine how spectacular the scenery would be if gray sands moved out. The crystal blue Pacific Ocean looked like embracing cute Hualien city and series of emerald green hills… … Just at the moment of encouragement, there was something popping out of grasses, run across path and jumped into forest. That was FORMORSA MANKEY! I COULD BUY LOTTERY! Frightened a little by it, I couldn’t help but expecting to encounter more wild animal.
每個轉彎，花蓮市的輪廓慢慢清晰，因為天氣過於晴朗和沙塵暴漸漸籠罩，灰灰糊糊的的花蓮市還有一抹灰藍色的太平洋，還有灰灰的天空，當一切都是灰色的時候，我選擇心情是歡樂的黃色，因為至少我還有太陽麻！下次天氣好的時候，一定再衝上來，看壯觀的海洋城市！邊鼓舞自己邊朝上前進，忽然，那是什麼！
During hiking, I met one kind hiker teaching me how to get along with wild animals. Like Formosa Rock Monkey, for example, don’t stare at them, keep walking straight and observe them through the corner of your eyes. They will be afraid or frightened more than you fell. By the way, I may luckily run into some deer lining along the observatory platform. Do the same way and walk away naturally. And she recommended me lie down on the ground to observe eagles and other precious birds. Plus, it is a rather safe hiking path with two gardeners patrolling around hills.
路途上曾遇見一位可愛的媽媽山友，說：「左傖是花蓮最漂亮的山，遇到台灣彌猴不用慌，他比你更怕你，可能會搖樹枝什麼的嚇你，因為你侵略了牠的領地麻，不要理他們，眼睛不要與牠們相對看，用餘光瞟牠們就好，繼續平穩的向前走。有時候阿，水鹿會成列出現在觀景台的欄杆上，自然的走遠，也是用餘光瞟，牠們很和善的，最棒的是，這裡蠻多鳥類出沒，可以看到大冠鷲飛翔盤旋在藍天是很難得的優。你一個女生爬山也不用怕，這裡很安全，有清潔伯伯和騎著機車巡山的警衛哩，好好享受囉。」一顆怕怕的心平穩多了，山裡會遭遇什麼危險都不知道，但這次匆忙上路，沒有時間找伴，憑直覺向前。冒險，我在山裡只會說勇敢，勇敢謹慎，步步穩實，機靈應變，不然全世界那麼多一個人旅行，何處不危險何處不驚喜？或許下山去學個功夫也不錯XD
Suddenly, I found the Pacific Ocean far away shined in lightly blue. What would be at the top? Curiosity made me speed up to the destination.
WOW~~~COOL!
That area was for delicious food. That was night market. That one was harbor! That was Amigo. On my right side lied continuous Seashore Mountain Ranges shrouded in mists. Just crossed the left hills, beautiful Taroko welcomed all visitors. Hello~ Hualien City and blue Pacific Ocean! How amazing and refreshing the panoramic view was. Few tall buildings, green streets and, my favorite, blue shoreline. Breeze blew away exhausts and relaxed my sweating body. Blocked any thought, I just and just overlooked panorama with sound of birds, leaves and floating clouds. Let the stunning views fill my mind and crowned this moment as the best time of today. Didn’t bother me for a while since I was going to have a nap on the top of City.
一路氣喘喘，忽然發現遠方太平洋出現微微漂亮藍色，精神大好，一路衝到最頂的第四第五觀景台，豁然開朗，全覽整個花蓮市輕輕被太平洋擁抱著，（地圖是對的！XD）那邊夜市、那邊海港、那邊我吃包子蒸餃的地方、大大的體育場，右邊翠綠是連綿的海岸山脈，越過左邊壯闊山脈就到太魯閣了！輕輕微風徐徐吹來，吹散爬山疲累，颯爽好像有人幫忙按摩，恩～～很好，左邊右邊瞧瞧看看，我站在花蓮市的頂端，超有成就感！連喝水都快樂！接近正午的東岸太陽懶洋洋，何妨躺在涼亭裡睡午覺？就躺下去八。
