If National Palace Museum is mostly dedicate to lives of royal family, then Taiwan Folklore Museum features charming ones of common Taiwanese.
When I biked through rustic villages in ChiChi or Ershui, I often jumped out of bike to awe at traditional Chinese residences. What would it be inside of those cute boxes? And a visit to Taiwan Folklore Museum provides answers and more. I strolled through elegant bookroom, exquisite wooden beds, dressing tables, simple kitchen, beautiful hall and scared shrines and couldn’t help but envy my ancestors. I did love quaint housing in antique atmosphere.
Even though introduction for each collection is lack of English version, I still had fun in just appreciate the beauty of artifacts. The shapes, the colors, the arrangement, oh…. ….
I hoped I got more time to stroll but it was closed at 5:00pm. Plant more time here next time! On the right side of park, there are several shops, restaurant, platform and recreation area. We got fun in Chinese toys and then left with fulfillment.
